Cops are hunting a knife-wielding thug who held up a Scots chemist before making away with a haul of drugs. West Lothian police have launched a probe after the raid at a pharmacy on King Street in Bathgate at around 11.35am yesterday.

The man entered the shop brandishing a knife and threatened staff.He escaped with various drugs including pregabalin, diazepam and morphine and is thought to have headed towards the town's Edinburgh Road.Officers have described him as described as being white, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, of a slim build and around 6ft 4in to 6ft 8in tall.He had a dark striped scarf covering his face and was wearing a dark baseball style cap, a grey hooded top with the hood up, dark jogging bottoms, blue Adidas trainers
