Nathan Chen is bringing home his first Olympic gold medal, as well as a Team Silver medal, after winning the 2022 Beijing Olympics.

Click inside to read more… In an interview with AP, Nathan admitted he’s not sure if he’ll compete at the world championships next month in France.

This isn’t uncommon for Olympic champions, as many choose to skip them. “I will think about it a little bit and talk to everyone else on my team and see what their feelings are and then kind of go from there,” Nathan said.

He also shared that he was still undecided on if he’ll be setting new goals for himself, or going on to master more difficult jumps. “I think that definitely goes hand-in-hand with deciding what the future entails for me … certainly there’s going to be other standouts coming out very rapidly so it’s going to be very interesting and fun to be able to track how skating progresses,” Nathan added. “As for me, you know, it’s still (to be determined) as well.” At the end of 2020, Nathan admitted he wasn’t sure if he’d be back in competition at all after these Olympics. “I think it will be highly determined by how I feel after ’22,” he said, via U.S.
