Mutya Buena is one of the celebrities taking part in Celebrity MasterChef week 4, alongside The Traitors star Diane Carson, make-up artist and TV Judge Dominic Skinner, BBC Radio 2 Presenter OJ Borg and Strictly professional Vito Coppola. The 39-year-old first rose to fame as an original member of the Sugababes.

The band was formed in 1998 by manager Ron Tom with Mutya, Keisha Buchanan, and Siobhan Donaghy as the original members. She then left the group in 2005, explaining she had been suffering from postnatal depression after the birth of her daughter Tahlia, the Mirror reports.

She was then replaced by Amelle Berrabah and told RWD magazine: "Everything became a downer and I just couldn't be bothered.

But it did get to the point where I couldn't take it any more and it was horrible. All you know is that you feel down and you want to cry." However, she didn't quit singing altogether as Mutya released her debut solo album in 2006 and her first track to be released was a duet with legendary singer George Michael called This Is Not Real Love. The singer gave birth to her daughter Tahlia just before her 20th birthday, who she shares with former partner Jay, who she met before she was famous.
