CCTV shows brave pensioner being pulled under car as she tries to tackle thief
dailyrecord.co.ukA fearless pensioner was pulled under the door of her car as she tried to stop a thug from stealing her vehicle. The shocking theft was caught on CCTV after the elderly woman parked her blue Hyundai at 10.05am yesterday outside Booker Avenue Post Office on Holmefield Road, Allerton.
In the video, the victim can be seen getting out of her car and crossing the pavement to post a letter, however as she turns back to the car, a man dressed in dark clothing jumps into the driver's seat.
She runs back to the vehicle and tries to tackle the criminal, with the car then reversing and dragging the woman along the roadside and under the car door, the Liverpool Echo reports.
After hitting the car parked behind it, the Hyundai drives away narrowly avoiding the pensioner who is now lying at the side of the road.
