A 17-year-old boy has been arrested after three people were stabbed in a horror attack outside Bury Market. Police rushed to the scene off Murrary Road in Bury at 12.15pm on Monday (March 11) following reports of the triple stabbing.

A huge section of the town centre was cordoned off for much of the afternoon with a number of footpaths close to the Interchange and Mill Gate shopping centre shut off.

Three men were rushed to hospital following the attack with injuries that police said were not thought to be life-threatening.

Two have since been discharged, GMP say. In the early hours of Tuesday, GMP said a 17-year-old had been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault.
