Bury Council has applied for planning permission to put the two six metre by 2.5 metre steel containers on a grassed area of Hoyles Park, Huntley Mount Road, Bury.
The containers, which would be placed close to the car park, off Thrush Drive, would store sports equipment and machinery and materials used to maintain the nearby football pitches.
