Scots comedian Kevin Bridges announces that his novel 'The Black Dog' will be published this summer

Kevin Bridges has announced that he will be releasing a brand new book this summer. The Scots funny man took to Instagram today to reveal that his new novel 'The Black Dog' will be out in August.

In his newsletter, Kevin announced the book's name and told fans a little bit about it.He revealed that his book is 'not another autobiography' and is a 'proper book'.He said: "I want to let you know that during one of our lockdown stints inside I confined myself to my cell and set about writing a book.

Not another autobiography or anything like that, I'm talking a novel, as in, a proper book. Bonkers. That book is now being published by Wildfire books and will be released in August 2022."He added: "It's called The Black Dog, and here's a wee bit of what it's all about...."Declan dreams of becoming a writer.

It's a dream that helps him escape the realities of his life - going through the motions at college and stacking supermarket shelves part-time, whilst fighting a battle with the ever-darkening thoughts in his head."He has his pet Labrador for companionship and his best friend-turned-mentor, a pseudo-intellectual who works as greenskeeper at the local municipal golf course, both of which help keep the worst of his anxieties at bay.
