Bright Light Bright Light Releases New Album 'Enjoy Youth,' Featuring Ultra Naté, Mykal Kilgmore & More!

Bright Light Bright Light is back with a brand new album, and it’s full of fabulous features! The NYC-based electro-pop superstar, born Rod Thomas, just dropped his brand new record Enjoy Youth on Friday (May 17), via his own label YSKWN!, in partnership with Megaforce Records.

The album includes the previously released “You Want My…,” a loving homage to Pet Shop Boys and the late George Michael, crafted with Ian Masterson, as well as “Boys,” “Sweet Release,” “Down to One” and “I Don’t Know What I’m Going to Do.” Keep reading to find out more… Enjoy Youth also sees collaborations with Mykal Kilgore, dance music legend Ultra Naté, Sam Harper, Berri (known for “Sunshine After The Rain”) and Beth Hirsch, who features on Air’s Moon Safari. “The album is written to help myself and the listener feel joy when joy isn’t always the dominant feeling,” Bright Light Bright Light said in a statement. “I feel like since COVID, it’s been harder to let myself be as buoyant and optimistic as I previously was, so these songs are reminders to myself to keep embracing fun, silliness, playfulness, camp, drama – to let emotions take hold of you and run with them, and to remember the joy of connection with the people you love.” Bright Bright Bright Light has previously opened for Cher on her world tour and performed alongside Elton John and Ellie Goulding, among many others.
