The wife of missing British TV presenter Dr Michael Mosley has issued a statement three days into the search for her husband on a Greek island after he disappeared during a hike, saying the family will not lose hope of his return.
Dr Clare Bailey, who works alongside her husband on nutrition and fitness books, said in her statement: “It has been three days since Michael left the beach to go for a walk.
The longest and most unbearable days for myself and my children. “The search is ongoing and our family are so incredibly grateful to the people of Symi, the Greek authorities and the British Consulate who are working tirelessly to help find Michael. “We will not lose hope.” The couple have four children, who are reported to have travelled to the island to assist in the search.
Mosley, who is 67, vanished after setting off from a beach on the island of Symi. The BBC’s account of his movements includes him leaving Agios Nikolaos beach in the north-east corner of the island at around 1.30pm.
