John Hopewell Chief International Correspondent Austrian director Ulrich Seidl has cancelled his visit to San Sebastian for the Sept. 18 world premiere of “Sparta,” amid allegations of impropriety and child exploitation made against the director. The world premiere will still go ahead at San Sebastian with the film playing in main competition contending for San Sebastian’s Gold Shell. I read it in the month that followed my divorce [from Brad Pitt in 2016],” recalls Jolie, who shot the adaptation at Rome’s Cinecittà Studios. “It had the effect on me that it’s had on so many people,” Jolie says, noting that the blurb on the cover says that the book is about the complexity of the human condition.

Photographs have emerged of bruises on Angelina Jolie's hand that were allegedly sustained during an altercation with her ex-husband Brad Pitt on board a flight in 2016. The 47 year old Oscar-winning actress submitted the images to the FBI as part of their investigation into the alleged "verbal and physical fight" that took place between the former in front of their children aboard a private jet from France to Los Angeles on 14 September 14.The grainy black and white images appear to show bruising on Angelina's hand and elbow, injuries that she claims she sustained as Brad "grabbed her shoulders and shook her while yelling 'you're 'f*****g up this family'," according to FBI reports.

The 'Bullet Train' actor and his charity were first subjected to a class action lawsuit from homeowners in 2018, after they alleged the foundation sold affordable but "defectively and improperly constructed homes" to residents seeking shelter in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

Brad Pitt's Make It Right Foundation has struck a $20.5 million settlement with owners of post-Hurricane Katrina homes the actor's foundation initially built and sold to affected families below cost but ultimately drew attention for the homes' poor conditions after the families moved in.The settlement calls for Global Green, an environmental non-profit organization that was not part of the 2018 class action lawsuit, to foot the bill on behalf of Pitt's foundation. The preliminary settlement agreement — which still requires the court to sign off on — will aim to resolve outstanding issues in the litigation over homes Make It Right developed in the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans.
