‘Bodkin’ Star Robyn Cara Joins ‘The Rainmaker’ In Series Regular Role
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Robyn Cara (Bodkin) has been cast in a series regular role in USA Network‘s The Rainmaker, based on the John Grisham novel of the same name.
From showrunner and executive producer Michael Seitzman, the Lionsgate and Bloomhouse series follows Rudy Baylor (Milo Callaghan) who, fresh out of law school, goes head-to-head with courtroom lion Leo Drummond (John Slattery) and his law school girlfriend Sarah Plankmore (Madison Iseman).
Rudy, along with his boss (Lana Parrilla) and her disheveled paralegal, uncover two connected conspiracies surrounding the mysterious death of their client’s son.
Cara will portray Kelly Riker, a lonely young woman trapped in an abusive marriage who befriends her neighbor, Rudy. In the 1997 film The Rainmaker from director Francis Ford Coppola, Kelly was famously portrayed by Claire Danes.
