Iranian protesters have demanded "justice" for a woman who was assaulted by anti-riot police, with one officer forcibly grabbing her bottom and then pushing her on the ground.  The video, captured on a security camera at the Argentina Square in Tehran on Wednesday, shows police surrounding the woman. When they start to cart her away, one officer grabs the woman’s bottom before she drops to her knees.  Another woman can be heard saying that the officers were pulling the victim’s hair as she knelt on the ground.  Tehran’s Police Public Relations office has said the incident will be investigated, the BBC reported, but the police provided no statement as to what might have happened.

A cause of death for Nolan Neal, a former "America’s Got Talent" and "The Voice" contestant, has been revealed. Escambia County Public Schools, Florida considered a proposal to revise a policy to allow parents to decide what books their children can read. At the beginning of Escambia County schools' "special workshop" on Monday, school board members addressed concerns over books that have been accessible to students.The workshop stemmed from a teacher's claim last month that over 100 books in Escambia County Public Schools violated Florida law.  "I think at some point we have to know that we have professionals working for us that are evaluating, making decisions, based on the literature that is being proposed.

Multiple schools went into lockdown across counties in Florida on Tuesday morning as police responded to false calls of active shooters. Police dispatches in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Orange counties received 911-calls on Tuesday morning reporting mass shootings and gunmen wearing body armor.

The family of 17-year-old Erik Cantu, who was shot multiple times by a former San Antonio police officer while eating a hamburger in a McDonald's parking lot earlier this month, said Tuesday that the teen is still on life support.  "At this time, there is no improvement in his condition. He is still unconscious and is on life support. The last two days have been difficult and we expect more difficulty ahead, but we remain hopeful," Cantu's family told Fox News Digital in a statement through their attorney, Brian Powers.  "We’d like to correct any misrepresentations that Erik is in ‘stable condition’ or he is 'going to be fine.' That is not true.

College students organized a protest in response to their university’s nomination of a sole finalist for president of the school.The University of Florida announced on October 6 that Senator Ben Sasse, R-Neb, was unanimously nominated to be the only contender to serve as the 13th president of the public institution.Sasse, who has served the state of Nebraska since 2015, is expected to resign his Senate seat in December and start his new job at the university in February, should the nomination go through.  He was on campus on October 10 for multiple public forums with students, faculty, and staff. Sasse spoke at Emerson Alumni Hall at 2:30 PM during a Q&A session for students.
