Eddie Murphy

Edward Regan Murphy (born April 3, 1961) is an American actor, comedian, and singer.

Murphy was a regular cast member on Saturday Night Live from 1980 to 1984. He has worked as a stand-up comedian and was ranked No. 10 on Comedy Central's list of the 100 Greatest Stand-ups of All Time.

In films, Murphy has received Golden Globe Award nominations for his performances in 48 Hrs., the Beverly Hills Cop series, Trading Places, The Nutty Professor, and Dolemite Is My Name. In 2007, he won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor and received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of soul singer James "Thunder" Early in Dreamgirls.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F is still reigning supreme on Netflix. Eddie Murphy’s latest film spent another week atop the streamer’s Top 10 English-language films with 22.2M views, also making it the most-watched title of the week again.

That puts it nearly halfway to a spot on the most popular list, which would require it to beat Glass Onion‘s 136M views to do so.

Second among English-language films was A Family Affair, which continued to serve up laughs with 11.6M views — a far cry from the No.

3 spot, which was Paw Patrol: The Movie with 4.7M views. On the TV side, things have been looking a bit light since Bridgerton is losing steam as more of its audience finishes the third season.
