Strictly Come Dancing fans have been quick to back Shirley Ballas they fumed over the show's latest 'wrong decision'. As the final weeks of the BBC One dance contest's 2023 run approach, the couples have been whittled down and led to a surprise dance-off on Sunday night (November 26).
There were gasps in the ballroom as it was revealed that Layton Williams and Angela Scanlon would be fighting for their place in the competition, which reaches the quarter-final this coming weekend which is also the much-loved Musicals week.
Both couples performed their routines again, with Layton and his dance partner Nikita Kuzmin performing their American Smooth to ‘It’s Oh So Quiet’ by Björk while Angela and her dance partner Carlos Gu performed their Cha Cha to ‘I Will Survive’ by Gloria Gaynor in a bid to impress the judges and remain in the competition. While Craig Revel Horwood, Mostsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke agreed to save the Bad Education star and his dance partner, Shirley was the only judge who would have opted to save the exiting couple.
