BBC Strictly Come Dancing confirms first three celebrities for Christmas special - and their dance partners

The battle for the Glitterball trophy may still be ongoing on Strictly Come Dancing but we're already thinking ahead to the next special which will air over Christmas.

Once the main series finishes in mid-December, fans won't have to wait long for their next fix of the BBC One dance contest.

The hit competition will return for its single-episode Christmas special on the big day itself (December 25) on BBC One and the first three celebrities line-up to take part this year have been revealed.

Broadcaster Dan Snow, BBC Breakfast host Sally Nugent and EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick are the first three celebrities to be announced for the upcoming Christmas special.
