Following a forced break due to the pandemic in 2020, the Manchester Culture Awards are back for 2021 and are set to highlight the very best in culture, arts and creativity in the city.

The last awards ceremony, held in 2019, saw more than 300 nominations recognising exceptional contributions made by both individuals within the community, and by cultural organisations big and small across the city.

Nominations for the highly coveted awards open again today (June 16) and feature 12 different categories including Best Performance, Best Event and Young Creative of the Year, as well as several awards that turn the spotlight on the individual creatives behind events, shows and projects.
