Olaplex has definitely become one of the cult favourite products of the hair industry, with everyone from celebrities to influencers to stylists swearing by it for helping give them glossy, healthy locks.

However, with the full size Olaplex products costing anywhere between £28 and £88, it’s definitely not the most affordable haircare line, even if the results speak for themselves.Thankfully, there has been a flurry of brands keen to offer their own alternative to the hair bonding products, with more affordable dupes of the brand popping up all over, including at stores like Primark and Aldi. The latest brand to offer an affordable version is HeadShock, which has just released its Plex System Smoothing Infusion Healthy Hair Essentials line, with the full range now available at budget-friendly supermarket B&M.

Consisting of five different products each priced at £2.50, the range offers a shampoo and conditioner, as well as several treatments and masks to help boost your hair’s health and appearance, leaving it longer, stronger and shinier. The five step regime helps target damaged hair to repair it, improve the texture and leave it feeling softer and more manageable.

Key ingredients in the range include pro-vitamin B5, Avena Sativa, and botanical oils including argon oil, jojoba oil and chia seed oil which work together to moisturise and hydrate dry and damaged hair, and restore damaged hair cuticles to add elasticity to your locks. They also strengthen and reinforce your hair to increase suppleness and help protect it from future damage.
