Angie Harmon Sues Instacart & Delivery Driver After Her Dog Was Shot & Killed
justjared.comAngie Harmon is taking legal action after claiming that her dog was shot and killed by a delivery driver. Back in April, the 51-year-old Rizzoli & Isles actress claimed that an Instacart delivery driver shot and killer her beloved dog Oliver at her home in North Carolina.
Now more than a month later, Angie has filed a lawsuit against the grocery delivery service and the driver, whom the suit names as Christopher Anthoney Reid, for alleged trespassing, conversion, negligence, negligent supervision/hiring, invasion of privacy and negligent misrepresentation. Keep reading to find out more…In court documents obtained by People, Angie‘s lawyers claimed that she scheduled a grocery delivery on March 30 and alleges that she was interacting with a delivery driver named “Merle,” whose profile picture depicted an older woman, while answering questions about her order.
However, Angie‘s lawyers claimed that Reid was the one that arrived at her property to deliver her order.
The suit alleges that Reid “was impersonating Merle on the Instacart app” and consequently, Angie had “no idea she had been communicating” with Reid, who is described as “a tall and intimidating younger man.” Once Reid arrived on her property, Angie allegedly “heard what sounded like a gun shot” with her children in the backyard. “Terrified for her children’s safety, Ms.
