£1,000 donated to Coronavirus support group helping the most vulnerable in Walkden and Salford

A Salford based Coronavirus support group with 30 volunteers has been given £1,000 to fund their efforts. Walkden Community announced on their Facebook group that they had donated the four-figure sum to the Coronavirus Support Group for Walkden and Salford West, who buy PPE and toiletries to be donated to local hospitals, schools and care homes.

The support group's efforts have seen supplies donated to Salford Royal Hospital, Royal Bolton Hospital, local care homes, schools and community teams in the Walkden and Little Hulton area.

The Walkden Community post reads: "We have donated £1,000 to a great group of volunteers providing much needed PPE and toiletries to the services in the local area including: Royal Bolton Hospital, Salford Royal,
