Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction

On Saturday (October 19), the 31-year-old “Pillowtalk” singer announced that he was postponing the U.S. leg of his Stairway To The Sky Tour, which was scheduled to kick off next week on October 23 in San Francisco, as he mourns Liam‘s passing. Keep reading to find out more…“Given the heartbreaking loss experienced this week, I’ve made the decision to postpone the US leg of the Stairway To The Sky Tour,” Zayn wrote on his Instagram Story. “The dates are being rescheduled for January and I’ll post them as soon as it’s all set in the next few days,” he continued. “Your tickets will remain valid for the new new dates.
Love you all and thank you for your understanding.” As of right now, Zayn is still scheduled to bring his tour to the U.K.
