West Lothian residents asked to join See Me campaign to eradicate mental health discrimination

Sign up to the weekly West Lothian Courier newsletter for the latest West Lothian news and sport.People in West Lothian are being called to tackle the stigma and discrimination around mental health in 2021, with increasing numbers struggling and worried about speaking out due to the Covid-19 pandemic.See Me, the national programme to end mental health discrimination, is encouraging people to reach out to others who they think might be struggling alone.The programme spoke to 40 of their volunteers last year, finding over half (54 per cent) said they were worried about sharing their difficulties with others because everyone was going through tough times.To change this, See Me is encouraging community groups, workplaces, schools, universities.
