Video shows horrifying moment car becomes engulfed in flames on busy bypass
manchestereveningnews.co.ukA video has captured the horrifying moment a car went up in huge flames along a busy main road on Saturday afternoon (July 2).
The car, which was parked in the lay-by of the A56, was swallowed by the fire, and was already well alight by the time fire crews arrived.
Emergency services directed traffic away from the scene temporarily and blocked off the road. A video shows an ambulance vehicle arriving at the scene on blue lights shortly after 2pm.
Fire crews rushed to the blaze and were in attendance for around thirty minutes. A hose reel was then used to extinguish the fire and make the area safe.
