Urgent appeal launched after 30 cats found living in house after owner dies

An urgent appeal has been launched after 30 cats were discovered living in a Scots house since their owner died leaving them on their own.Western Isles Support for Cats and Kittens were called to a house in the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides after reports from concerned neighbours.Until the felines were discovered in Breasclete, a neighbour had been feeding them.The charity found more than 30 cats, aged between six months to very elderly, living throughout the home and outbuildings.Although the animals were in good condition and clearly well looked-after, none of the females had been neutered and some were carrying injuries.
