UNIVERSITY Challenge fans were left seriously distracted by a contestant's appearance this week. Monday night saw the latest episode of the BBC Two quiz show air, with teams from Glasgow and Belfast going head-to-head.
As host Jeremy Paxman made the introductions, University Challenge viewers couldn't help but notice a student on the Belfast team.
Contestant Michael Sharry revealed he was studying for a PHD in politics. Michael wore his long brown hair down and a pair of glasses and people at home couldn't help but point out he looked similar to 70s British singer Roy Wood, who is known for his famous brunette locks.
The viewers were seriously distracted by Sharry's uncanny resemblance to the Electric Light Orchestra and Wizzard rocker. Some viewers even said Michael looked similar to Professor Denzil Dexter from the Fast Show, while others thought he looked like a member from a rock band.
