It’s been nearly two years since the release of Barry Jenkins‘ last feature, “If Beale Street Could Talk.” But that doesn’t mean Jenkins has taken a break.

In fact, he’s kept pretty damn busy with his first TV series, Amazon’s upcoming drama, “The Underground Railroad.” READ MORE: Barry Jenkins To Direct ‘Lion King’ Sequel For Disney While we still don’t have an official release date for the upcoming series, Amazon has decided to go ahead and reveal some first-look photos from the production of “Underground Railroad.” The series, as the title suggests, follows the story of the Civil War-era network of people that would allow slaves to find their way to freedom.
