Tributes to 'real gentleman' as body found in search for missing Scot after gig

Tributes are pouring in for 'a real gentleman' after police searching for a missing Scot confirmed a body had been found. We told how Ross Scaife vanished after a Stereophonics gig in Aberdeen on Sunday.

On Tuesday morning police were called to the Kirkhill Forest area of Dyce, north-west of the city centre. Officers sadly discovered a body at the scene Formal identification is yet to take place, however, Ross' family have been informed.News of the 'heartbreaking' discovery sparked a wave of tributes to the 40-year-old.Loved ones took to social media hailing Ross as 'such a lovely guy' in public posts.Wendy Simpson wrote: "So very sorry for Ross and his poor family."I worked with Ross at Proserv and he was such a lovely guy."So very sorry and thoughts with his family."Craig Park added: "Such sad news, really nice guy."Thoughts with all the family."Sandra Proctor posted: "I’m so sorry."RIP Ross, such a lovely guy."Thoughts are with his family and friends."Claire Paterson commented: "Completely heartbreaking."Such a great guy, a real gentleman."Rest in peace, Ross."And Shona Price wrote: "Ross you were so loved, I can't believe you're gone."Thank you to everyone who shared posts and helped search for him."RIP my friend." Ross attended the gig on East Burn Road on Sunday, March 20 and was last seen at the Aloft TECA Hotel at 11.55pm.

An urgent appeal was launched in an effort to trace his whereabouts.The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.North East Police Division released an official statement on Tuesday afternoon.It read: "Police Scotland can confirm that the body of a man was found in the Kirkhill Forest area of Dyce, Aberdeen, on the morning of Tuesday,
