Tragic Scots man dies after being knocked down by lorry while crossing road

Coatbridge road.Stephen Brown, from Viewpark, spent two days in hospital fighting for his life after being knocked down on Tuesday.Mercy crews rushed the 39-year-old to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he remained in critical condition before sadly dying yesterday.The horror incident happened at around 11.40am on Kirkshaws Road, at its junction with North Road.The 48-year-old driver of the lorry was uninjured.Now police are re-appealing for information and are urging anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.Sergeant Craig McDonald, Road Policing Unit, Motherwell, is again appealing for any witnesses.
