investigation for rape will not attend the House of Commons until he is no longer subject to bail conditions from police, House of Commons Speaker Lindsay Hoyle has announced.
Sir Lindsay said the MP would not attend the chamber but said Commons privilege should not be used to name the accused politician.
He told MPs the politician in question "voluntarily agreed not to attend the House of Commons for the period of the bail".
