This Morning's Josie Gibson left her co-stars and viewers spooked on Thursday as she shared a chilling encounter that made her late for work.

During the show's Halloween special, Josie, 39, opened up about a terrifying experience she had twice in her life. As the This Morning team discussed sleep paralysis and ghostly encounters, Josie revealed: "I've had it twice in my life, okay, the first one was at home and this creature came into my room, really long fingers and a really long face." She continued: "It was really skinny and grey, it just started going like [mimicked the creature] that across all my wardrobe and clothes, looking at me while I was in bed but I was fully awake." Josie then explained how she woke up at 1pm, clueless about where the morning had gone, and had to call in to work to apologise. The second time, she said, happened in Lapland when a similar creature entered her room and began stroking her face. "With that, I woke up at 1pm in the afternoon, I don't know where the morning's gone, I rang in work like: 'I'm so sorry, I don't know what's happened!' I was awake and the next thing you know it's 1pm!" she recalled. "Then I had it again when I was in Lapland, I was in Lapland on a frozen lake and I heard the door go.This creature comes in my room, starts stroking my face like that, I was fully awake and the next thing you know, Janice, our producer, came and knocked on the door: 'Are you awake Josie?' It's the same creature, I've had it twice!" Her co-star Alison Hammond responded with shock, exclaiming: "I think that is sleep paralysis, are you serious? " adding: "That is so weird!" reports the Mirror.
