As the pair returned, Ben stroked his new beard and said “I’ve had a very fertile chin experience this summer” to which Cat declared: “I like the beard!”.
Gyles Brandreth on the other hand didn’t approve of Ben’s new look as he declared “every young male has got a beard”. Cat and Ben were so keen to know whether fans were supportive of his new look that they set up a poll.
Sadly for Ben, 54% of viewers voted that Ben should ditch the beard, while 46% said he should keep it. Ben said "the people have spoken" and confirmed he will be shaving the beard, with him and Cat joking that he will shave it live on the show.
