A Manchester woman has revealed what life is like behind the lockdown in Spain. Jodie Platten, 34, from Stockport, a trainee climbing instructor at The Olive Branch in El Chorro, Málaga, is in isolation as a result of the Spanish government going into a state of emergency.

She said: “We’re up in the hills up here so we are pretty away from it all.  “But they [the authorities] have been really strict.

The retreat here has now officially closed, our guests are leaving as soon as they can get flights. “It’s all happened really quickly, and the government is taking it really seriously.
