The Salford kindhearts sewing scrubs for our NHS heroes - they need your help

A group of Salford kindhearts has dedicated hundreds of hours to helping our NHS heroes. The Salford Scrubees have stitched 1,000 sets of scrubs for Salford Royal Hospital staff.

Now they're calling for extra support. Members have been asked to help out workers at care homes, GPs and pharmacies. The group, made up of more than 80 volunteers and 20 professionals, makes caps and scrubs from recycled matieral.

It needs cash for equipment, deliveries and admin support - to help more frontline workers. Veterinary nurse Bethany Scott volunteers for the group.

She organised the srubs deliverty to Salford Royal. She said: “I’ve been contacted by GP surgeries, care homes and pharmacies also looking for additional PPE and I’ve had to turn them down.
