The Salford employment project 'turning young people's lives around'

A 16-year-old with a career in construction ahead of him has hailed a Salford employment project as "the reason he has a job today".

Kade Dardis from Little Hulton had previously had a difficult time at school but, thanks to an initiative helping young people into employment and apprenticeships, he's now looking forward to a bright future.

Through the School Links project - part of the Bright Futures scheme by ForHousing which is delivered by its Skills Centre - Kade has completed a level one course in multi trade construction activities and has been offered an electrical apprenticeship with award-winning national property services firm Liberty.
