In the second episode of new BBC crime thriller series The Jetty, viewers discovered that the storyline is playing out across two different timelines.
One timeline is set in the present day and features Detective Ember Manning (Jenna Coleman), while the other delves into the past of her late husband Malachy 'Mack' (Tom Glynn-Carney).The plot thickened when Ember stumbled upon a photo of Mack with Amy Knightley (Bo Bragason), a young girl who disappeared over ten years ago.
Now, Ember is left to unravel the mystery of her husband's connection with the missing teenager, fearing the worst. However, as the new episode aired on Tuesday 16 July, it seemed some viewers were left scratching their heads, not realising the show was switching between the past and present.
One viewer took to Twitter to express their confusion: "Is this jumping back and forth in time? I hadn't realised that."
