The 16-year-old, now preparing to compete in the semi-final of the PDC World Darts Championships, has become the youngest player to reach the final four, managing to defeat a five-time world champion in the process.
Known as a 'quiet' and 'down to earth lad,' Luke was born in Warrington and trained at the St Helens Darts Academy. Those associated with the academy have witnessed his rapid rise to success.
Karl Holden, who runs the academy and the St Helens Darts shop, told the ECHO: “He’s really down to earth.
