Tesco issues online delivery update for vulnerable customers

Tesco has issued an important update to its customers on delivery availability during the UK lockdown. The major supermarket is making changes to its online home delivery service for its most vulnerable customers.

The company's CEO said on Tuesday that it has contacted 75,000 of those to let them know they have an online delivery slot available immediately.

He has also asked that everyone "thinks before they click" in such unprecedented circumstances. In the statement, CEO Dave Lewis, said: "Last Thursday, we were given an initial list of 110,000 clinically vulnerable and isolated people by the government. "From this list, we were able to match 75,000 existing customers – and we’ve already let them know we’re making home delivery slots
