Teenage musician Nell Smith, best known for her work with The Flaming Lips, has died in a car accident aged just 17.The promising Canadian singer-songwriter, who was on the cusp of releasing her debut album next year, has been mourned by fans and industry insiders alike.The devastating news was shared by Simon Raymonde of Cocteau Twins, whose label Bella Union had signed the young talent.
