Strictly favourite admits to cheating on partner with 'soap stars and celebrities'

John Whaite has admitted that he was unfaithful to his fiancé with "soap stars and celebrities" after finding fame, amid his confession that he and his partner briefly split shortly after he appeared on Strictly Come Dancing in 2021.The Great British Bake Off winner revealed that he "fell in love" with his professional partner, Johannes Radebe, on the BBC dancing show and split with his other half.The 34-year-old rose to fame after he was named the winner of the popular baking programme in 2021, when he was aged 23 and still at university.John had been with his fiancé Paul Atkins for five years at that time and has revealed that he really "tested boundaries" of their relationship.

After he was catapulted into the spotlight he found himself in a world of "freebies, champagne hampers, meals out and holidays" as well as screen tests, red carpets, parties and a six-figure book deal, writes The Mirror.Speaking to The Time, John said that there were: "Drunken fondles and experiments with various soap stars and celebrities."And he said that he got "somewhat swept away with it all".

During the interview, John also confessed that he developed feelings for his dance partner whilst on Strictly. The baker and South African-born star Johannes, 36, made show history when they became the first same-sex couple on the show.

Opening up about his experience, he said he fell in love with Johannes and that he still does love him. When the show ended, John said he spent "some time apart" from Paul, who moved back in with his parents, while John "sat on the patio, drinking bottle after bottle of sauvignon blanc".
