Strictly Come Dancing star Adam Thomas' painful hidden disease and the famous brothers and wife supporting him
manchestereveningnews.co.ukAdam Thomas is set to light up the ballroom with his infectious smile this weekend but there's a hidden pain behind his trademark giggle which he revealed not long after he was announced as one of the 15 celebrities taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
The Manchester-born actor is perhaps best known for portraying Adam Barton in ITV soap Emmerdale between 2009 and 2018. More recently, he's returned to Waterloo Road to reprise his role of Donte Charles in the school-based drama that kickstarted his career 17 years ago.
The series BBC One, which began in 2006 and ran for nine years, was rebooted in January this year and returned to filming in Greater Manchester following a spell in Scotland before it came to an original end in 2015.
As for Adam, his former bad boy character is now a dad and picked up a job as the school's caretaker following the heartbreaking death of his wife, Chlo Charles.
