Stirling restaurants extend Eat Out to Help Out scheme despite end of funding

A number of Stirling eateries are continuing to offer Eat Out to Help Out discounts – even though funding for the scheme has ended.Restaurants saw such a high volume of uptakes in the scheme that they have opted to keep it going by picking up the bill themselves.The scheme, introduced by the UK government offering diners 50 per cent off of sit-in meals, up to a limit of £10 per person, between Monday and Wednesday throughout August.Restaurants were so busy that a number of them have decided to keep the offer in place throughout September by picking up the tab themselves following a difficult five month period through the coronavirus lockdown.The Kilted Kangaroo, located in Upper Craigs, will keep the offer going after seeing a massive.
