Two community groups helping the vulnerable through the coronavirus pandemic have received more than £30,000.Castle Douglas Development Forum and Creetown Initiative are among more than 250 organisations across the country to receive a share of £10 million from the Scottish Government’s Supporting Communities Fund.The development forum, which has been operating the Heart of Galloway Foodbank from the visitor centre at Market Hill in Castle Douglas delivering food and ready meals across the Stewartry, has been given £21,220.Project manager, Sarah-Jane Allsopp, said: “The number of parcels we are providing is growing week by week and this funding will ensure that there is food for everyone in the Stewartry who needs it.“At the moment we are
