Specsavers event in Larkhall raises over £900 for children’s hospital charity

A Halloween-themed event hosted by a Larkhall opticians raised the spirits of the town this month, as well as more than £900 for a children’s hospital charity.

The Specsavers team, located at the Union Street store, pulled together the annual Halloween event at the local Crosskeys Bowling Club inviting families from across the area to join them for an evening of dancing and fancy-dress fun.Through ticket sales and a raffle that took place on the evening, the store managed to raise more than £900 for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity to help raise funds for the Schiehallion Ward at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow, which treats young children undergoing cancer treatment.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
