The lowest speed recorded in the 30mph zone during that time was 40mph, and the highest 58mph. A tweet from GMP Special Constabulary, posted in the early hours of today, August 4, read: "Within just ONE hour tonight officers reported drivers on Middleton Road for these speeds… 56-52-41-56-42-40-39-58-52-58-47-52 "Thanks to all the neighbours for their support & to those who failed to stop – ensure you check your mail!"
