South Lanarkshire recycling centres to begin accepting bulkier items

Please remove polystyrene and polythene packaging before disposing of cardboard.Vans are now allowed at the sites on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but not trailers and no trade waste is accepted.

The sites are for domestic waste from South Lanarkshire residents only, so ID showing address should be available for inspection on entry to sites.Sites still may be busy at times, so residents should consider if they really need to visit, and they should only do so if they have no COVID-19 symptoms.The council has six recycling centres in Carluke, Eastfield, Larkhall, East Kilbride, Blantyre and Strathaven..
