SNP regains control in Dundee after five years of coalition

The SNP has re-taken control of Dundee City Council after five years of coalition with Scotland's longest-serving councillor.

The nationalists managed to get 15 councillors across the city to give them a majority out of the 29 potential seats. Kevin Cordell for the Ferry was announced as the final SNP candidate to be returned shortly after 3pm.
