Michael Che and Colin Jost were back on the “Weekend Update” desk on Saturday Night Live cracking jokes on the political world and pop culture.

The segment started with the duo poking fun at the Republican debate this weekend that aired on NBC. Jost reminded the audience that presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy that the “GOP had become a party of losers.” “Weirdly, a party of losers was also how NBC advertised the debate,” Jost quipped.

Jost followed up by mentioning the moment Ramaswamy mentioned Nikki Haley’s daughter to which she said, “Leave my daughter out of your voice.” The comedian then joked saying that Haley quoted “directly from the Japanese subtitles of the Will Smith slap.” Taking a jab at Joe Biden was next after polls showed Donald Trump leading and pundits calling Biden’s presidential campaign a “five-alarm fire.” Jost then joked, “Which is scary for Biden because in a fire you have to use the stars,” reminding everyone when Biden tripped walking up the stairs.
