Lauren Hilty, Ross Mickel and their child Remy, 3, were passengers aboard the floatplane that crashed into Puget Sound near Whidbey Island in the state of Washington on Sunday (September 4). Lauren was also pregnant at the time of the crash. Our collective grief is unimaginable,” the family said. “Ross had an incredible impact on the Washington wine community and he will be greatly missed.” Ross owned Ross Andrew Wineries and was active in the wine community.
It is unclear why the plane crashed. Nine adults and one child were aboard the aircraft at the time of the accident. Our deepest condolences to the Hilty and Mickel families, as well as their loved ones, at this time. RIP.
