Self-employed workers will have to wait until June to get a £2500-a-month government bail out to help them through the coronavirus pandemic.

Chancellor Rishi Sunak won plaudits last night for the much-delayed announcement of support for millions of self-employed. But he was criticised for the three-month wait for cash that many fear will see thousands of low wage self-employed workers slip into poverty.
