SXSW was canceled due to the Coronavirus, but that doesn’t mean that films that were scheduled to premiere there don’t come out.

That’s why today we are sharing the trailer for a film called ‘The Quarry’. Based on the novel by Damon Galgut, someone known as “The Man” (Shea Whigham) comes to a small town to be the new minister or an old church.

He’s different then most reverends and likes to preach of “forgiveness”. The Police chief (Michael Shannon) has his suspicions of the new reverend, and as it turns out, he should.

The man killed the person that was supposed to be the new minister and has been pretending to be the holy man. After a body was discovered in a quarry, his suspicions turn ever more likely some. ‘The Quarry’ releases on

EXCLUSIVE: Hulu has acquired the rights to develop Adrian McKinty’s upcoming novel The Island as a limited series. McKinty will executive produce with Shane Salerno and The Story Factory. The author’s previous novel The Chain was acquired by Universal and Working Title for Edgar Wright to direct. Wright is rewriting the Jane Goldman script.
