A Scots teen has suffered life-changing injuries after being nearly crushed to death in a scrapyard. Taylor Knight became trapped under a two-tonne H-beam on a building site in Granton, Edinburgh, after wandering onto the land with friends.
The 17-year-old smashed her femurs in four different places on both legs, was left with an open fracture on her left leg, broken and fractured ankles, a fractured pelvis, as well as a damaged sciatic nerve on her right leg.
Almost six months after the incident on June 28 at Western Harbour Road, Taylor has still not returned to her volunteering position at a charity kitchen and cannot walk long distances, reports Edinburgh Live.The youngster says she regrets going onto the construction site and has warns others to think before entering a possibly dangerous situation.Speaking to Edinburgh Live, the teen said: "I do regret going into the scrapyard.
If I could go back in time I wouldn't have done it, but you never know the what could happen so you need to be careful."My friend had come down from Tranent, there was a whole group of us but only three people decided to go into the scrapyard.
